305 mm (12 “) - Compensatory weights made of anextremly dense tungsten-alloy (19,27 g/cm³)
From one of the most recognized manufacturers of Suisse clock-industry, we get the sapphire-bearings for the cardanic pick-up-suspension
Antiskating:
easy adjustment while listening to a record.
The gravitational mass-compensation with optionally one ore two oppositely working weights warrants an absolutely precise observance of the attuned torque.
The greatest challenge: the pick-up-arm-tube
The known materials used for pick-up-arms have one substantial disadvantage: they are not hard enough to give the pick-up-tube an excellent stiffness. Aluminium and titan are light and stout. Compound materials of carbon-fibre or Kevlar have good technical qualities, but they are very elastic.
So we decided to produce our pick-up-tubes with siliciumoxyd 90%; modified by special heat treatment, the tube gets a surface tension which makes it resistant against forced vibrations.
The result is a wonderfully dynamic, natural and bright sound.
